Changes to AML/CTF Compliance — Tranche 2
AUSTRAC is changing the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Act (AML/CTF) from 1 July 2026. New services and entities, known as Tranche 2, will now have to comply with AML/CTF obligations.
The new services to be included are provided by:
- Real Estate Agents and Property Developers
- Accountants
- Dealers in Precious Stones, Metals and Products
- Trust and Company Service Providers
- Lawyers and Conveyancers
- Virtual Asset Service Providers
